\n<\/strong>Ohio Level 1 food safety training is necessary for employees in the food service and hospitality industry. Ohio food safety training is for employees (such as chefs, cooks, servers, preparers, vendors, caterers, supervisors and managers) who are involved in preparing, storing, or handling food that work in: (restaurants, bars, cafes, bakeries, delis, mobile food trucks, assisted-living, day care centers, and convenience stores).<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>This 4 hr basic food handler training is for a person-in-charge at a food establishment. Person-in-charge means an individual present at a food establishment who is responsible for the operation at the time of inspection.<\/p>\n\n
\nUpon completion of the Food Handler Training Course students will be able to:<\/p>\n\n

\nLesson 3: Contamination
\nLesson 4: Food and Temperature Control
\nLesson 5: Preventing Food Contamination

\nLesson 8: Pest Control<\/p>\n
\nAs soon as you complete the food handler course – with a minimum seat time of 75 minutes – you will then be required to take the End of Course Test<\/p>\n
\nTo renew your Food Handler Certification, you must complete the food handler training course again. The entire course must be generally taken every three years to renew your certificate. However, in a few local jurisdictions this may vary, so make sure to check with your local health authority.<\/p>\n
