Are you and your family totally prepared for destructive effects of a tropical storm or a hurricane? Disasters don\u2019t plan ahead. But you can.<\/p>\n
Before weather emergencies, it is important to have a plan in place for emergency supplies, food, and water.<\/p>\n
Try to assemble your supplies well in advance of an emergency. You may have to evacuate at a moment\u2019s notice and will not have time to search for the supplies you need.<\/p>\n
Make a plan with the necessary food, water, and items to get you through the various types of emergencies for your locale. A disaster (emergency) supplies kit is simply a collection of basic items you may need in the event of an emergency. Have different kits ready:<\/p>\n
